Comedy Carpet – Blackpool Council
The Comedy Carpet is a work of public art
by the artist Gordon Young, a
2,200m2 area on Blackpool’s seafront, containing over
160,000 granite letters
embedded into concrete. Young comissioned the typographic design of the floor slabs, containg jokes, songs and comedy catchphrases of Britain’s most loved comedians.
